Small businesses and especially community organizations and cultural centers have been crippled by the COVID-19 / Coronavirus pandemic that is still prevalent in many U.S. states and around the globe. As a credit union, it’s within our philosophy to help our communities however possible, and more so now than ever. Thanks to the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York (FHLBNY), whose primary mission is to advance community development and housing opportunities in states such as New York, UFCU is again distributing grant funding to our member-organizations throughout New York. We believe that these funds will provide some much-needed financial relief during this challenging time.
At the beginning of the pandemic we told our members that we are here for them, and we will get through this together. The distribution of these funds is a continuing example of many as to how we’re acting on our word.
