United Way Day of Caring draws thousands of volunteers
We joined around 6,000 volunteers representing 200 businesses and organizations in Monroe County, NY in the annual United Way of Rochester & the Finger Lakes Day of Caring. Our day began at Joshua Park and concluded at our Ukrainian Centennial Monument at Irondequoit Town Hall. The second stop was particularly important as this monument was dedicated nearly 20 years ago and has become a long-standing feature and symbol of strength and resiliency on the town hall grounds. The Ukrainian-American community is grateful to the Town of Irondequoit for its continued support. And the weather was fabulous! Thank you to all who came out to help. We look forward to participating next year!
