2021 UFCU-UAC Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship Program

Eligibility

Ukrainian FCU member in good standing with a primary membership account opened on or before March 1, 2020 and MUST meet the following criteria:

  • Completed Application packet and online Focus Group Survey by Monday, March 1, 2021.
  • High school student planning to attend an accredited institution in the fall of 2021 or current undergraduate student attending a post-secondary, accredited institution. Students graduating college in the spring of 2021 are not eligible.
  • Minimum overall cumulative grade point average (GPA): 85 (high school senior) 3.0 out of 4.0 (college).
  • Involved in service to community.

Additional Program Details:

Up to twenty (20) scholarships will be available to undergraduate students who will enroll or currently are full-time students at accredited, post-secondary institutions during the 2021-22 academic year. Scholarship winners will be selected and recipients notified by email by April 15, 2021.

2021 Rochester Chapter, NYCUA Scholarship Program

Deadline for students to submit applications has passed.

Eligibility

Students who are members of participating credit unions can apply for these scholarships at no charge and MUST meet the following criteria:

  • The Applicant (student) must be a current member of your credit union and the primary account holder. (Custodial accounts do not qualify)
  • The Applicant must be a college bound high school senior at the time of application.
  • The Applicant is attending college for the first time in the fall of 2021.
  • The Applicant will be enrolled in either a two-year or four-year accredited educational institution in the fall of 2021.

Submission Instructions:

  • A student may now apply via a printed application or by email. If they apply via email, they must complete the application in full, print it, complete the required signatures and then scan/email to us at scholarship@summitfcu.org. Only section 1, 2 & 3 can be emailed. Section 4 MUST be mailed, unless emailed directly from the student’s school guidance office.
  • Our due dates and contact deadlines have been expanded. Please remember ONLY winners will be notified.

Additional Program Details:

The Rochester Chapter of the New York Credit Union Association will award a minimum of $10,000 in scholarship funds to outstanding high school seniors that are members of participating Rochester Chapter Credit Unions. The student must complete the scholarship application in full and send their completed application along with an activity/extra-curricular resume and essay to the address on the cover page of the application. Applications must be post-marked or emailed on or before February 26, 2021. Scholarship winners ONLY will be notified on or before May 1, 2021.

2021 UFCU Graduate Scholarship Program

Two (2) Centennial Graduate Scholarship Awards:

  • A $1,000 award to support a scholar registered in an accredited Graduate Program in Education preference to any discipline for Secondary School Educators (e.g. Mathematics, Sciences, History, etc.)
  • A $1,000 award to support a scholar registered in an accredited Graduate Program in Political Science or related a field (e.g. International Relations, Government Affairs, etc.)

Ukrainian Federal Credit Union Graduate Scholarship Award:

  • A $1,000 award available to support scholars registered in accredited Graduate Programs in the USA or at accredited International Universities (Former Undergraduate UFCU scholarship awardees are eligible)

Eligibility

  • Must be Citizen or Permanent Resident of the United States.
  • Must be a UFCU member in good standing with a primary share account opened on or before November 1, 2019.
  • Must be fully admitted in an accredited postgraduate degree program.
  • Must have maintained a minimum 3.25 Undergraduate GPA.
  • Must complete the online UFCU Products & Services Focus Group Survey.

Submission Instructions:

  • The applicant must save and complete the 2021 Graduate Scholarship Application. Please download and save the application before you complete the form.
  • If submitting in electronic file form, please e-mail all parts of your application, except transcript and letters of recommendation, as a single PDF file to UACFoundation@ukrainianfcu.org with subject line “2021 Graduate Scholarship Application.”
  • If submitting your application in hard copy, mail all parts of your application, except transcript, in a single envelope to:

2021 NYCUA Scholarship Program

Deadline for students to submit applications has passed.

Late April – Early May 2021: Your credit union will receive notification regarding 2021 winners and awards.

Eligibility

The applicant must be a member in good standing of a participating New York credit union who meets all of the following criteria:

  • The member is a college-bound high school senior at the time of application.
  • The member is attending college for the first time in the fall of 2021.
  • The member will be enrolled in either a two- or four-year accredited educational institution.
  • The member agrees to use any scholarship funds awarded by January 31, 2022, at an accredited educational institution only.

Submission Instructions:

  1. The applicant must save and complete the 2021 Scholarship Application. Please download and save the application before you complete the form.
  2. Obtain a Credit Union Verification Code from your credit union to verify eligibility.
  3. The applicant and his/her parent or guardian must complete the Certification and Release Authorization on the last page of the application.
  4. Please save the following as three separate files (PDFs or Word Documents):
  • Scholarship Application
  • High School Transcript and SAT/PSAT/ACT Scores
  • Essay


If you have not been able to take either the SAT, PSAT or ACT due to COVID-19, please submit your application. This section is not required for 2021.
